Our mission is to educate and equip civilians, law enforcement, and military personnel with the tools necessary to handle firearms safely and responsibly.

RYGT Origin Story

Run Your Gun Tactical ® was launched in the year of 2020 with the goals to equip and educate the masses, near and far. We desired to be able to influence the training space with "right" teaching and education. In our time of training, we have trained over 600 students in various capacities. We have influenced change in our communities by creating a safe space for individuals to become Self-Protectors.

We have partnered with companies such as Integricorp LLC (Marlon Huddleston) and Lacy's Defense (Jovonna Lacy) to provide joint offerings in MS [Home State], LA, TN, TX, and virtually.

Meet the Owner &
Chief Instructor

Jaron R. Smith "Smitty"

Jaron R. Smith, better known as "Instructor Smitty, " founded Run Your Gun Tactical ®. He is certified through many organizations (U2AC, NRA, USSCA, NAAGA, HSI, and Rangemaster), and he has trained with top instructors nationwide. Jaron currently serves as the Director of Training for the United 2A Collective. He expresses great gratitude to operate in this space because of the mission, the vision, and the overall statement of the community. When asked about this new opportunity, Jaron says, "It's great to be considered for a role such as this. I recently served as the Director of Training for the National African American Gun Association where I developed various processes, SOPs, and procedures to streamline the program for those who become certified through the organization's program. I hope to take those experiences to provide a better result through this new organization." He is also a student of the community. He trains at least once a quarter with other competent individuals who can expose and expand his skillset.
