About the event
First Presentation: Holster Skills Competency is designed to develop, reinforce, and evaluate the fundamental skills required to safely and efficiently present a handgun from the holster. Students will work through the mechanics of the draw while developing a consistent, repeatable process that emphasizes safety, efficiency, firearm control, and target acquisition.
Instruction will focus on establishing a proper grip, clearing the firearm from the holster, presenting the firearm to the target, and efficiently acquiring the sights. Students will have the opportunity to identify and correct inconsistencies in their presentation while working toward a smooth and controlled draw stroke.
This course is designed for individuals who want to build confidence and competency with their holster presentation through structured instruction, repetition, and performance-based evaluation.
