Tougaloo College Meets RYG Tactical

This past week, I had the esteemed pleasure of visiting Tougaloo College to engage with students and staff during an event focused on firearm safety, awareness, and education. Alongside my business partner, Marlon Huddleston of Integricorp LLC, we shared data, real-world insight, and tools that we hope might one day save a life.

We were honored to set up a table outside the cafeteria during the ever-popular "Fried Chicken Wednesday." As students passed by—some curious, others just hungry—we had the chance to connect with a diverse group studying Political Science, Social Work, Psychology, and more. Hearing their dreams and goals was both inspiring and grounding. While we advocate for responsible firearm access, our deeper mission is rooted in life preservation.

Our goal was simple: equip students with the knowledge to recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations before they unfold. Sadly, just one day after our seminar, a shooting occurred at an institution in Florida, claiming the lives of two individuals and injuring six others. It's a painful reminder of why these conversations are not only timely but necessary.

Why was our presence at Tougaloo so important? Because it sparked vital conversations. For too long, firearm safety has been treated like that distant relative no one wants to talk about. But silence doesn’t equal safety. We believe that by bringing these issues to the forefront, we can help create a roadmap for safer, more informed communities.

A heartfelt thank you to Capitol Dreamers for inviting RYG Tactical to participate in this meaningful event.

Fun Fact: I’ll admit—I was a little nervous beforehand. That’s not typical for me. But I approach every conversation as a chance to impart, influence, and impact. Speaking to today’s youth, even if I can offer just 2% of value, feels like a win.
